Sharp Park Golf Course

Sharp Park Golf Course is a historic public links in Pacifica, California, designed by Alister MacKenzie — the architect behind Augusta National and Cypress Point — and opened in 1932. Situated 10 miles south of San Francisco at the intersection of Sharp Park Road and the Coast Highway, the par-72 layout stretches 6,300 yards along the Pacific coast. Several holes wrap around Laguna Salada, a natural lake, and the course delivers broad views of the ocean, surrounding headlands, and mountains. The Spanish hacienda clubhouse, designed by Willis Polk's office, still stands. The course is fully walkable, combining seaside and inland terrain. Golfweek Magazine named it one of America's 50 Greatest Municipal Courses in 2014, and it has long carried the nickname "The Poor Man's Pebble Beach." One of the most-played courses in California on Hole19, it holds an average rating of 3.9 from 80-plus Hole19 golfer reviews.
