Rusutsu Resort Golf 72 (Wood) is an 18-hole hillside and woodland course located in Kimobetsu, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan. The Wood course offers generous fairway widths, ample distance, and attractive scenery throughout. The par-5 5th hole plays straightforwardly off the tee, but its three-tiered green creates a real putting challenge — depending on pin position, three-putts are a genuine risk. Hole 12 is the only stream-carry on the Wood course, demanding a committed swing. The River course, by contrast, plays shorter — a two-on attempt is possible from the 1st tee — but undulating fairways call for situational shot-making. Out-of-bounds left and right, pond carries, and repeated stream crossings add consistent pressure, making mental composure as important as ball-striking.
