Quinta da Ria

Designed by Rocky Roquemore and opened in 2002, Quinta da Ria is an 18-hole, par-72 resort course in Vila Nova de Cacela, Algarve, Portugal. The layout stretches to 6,053 metres across gently sloping terrain with bunkers and water hazards, and carries views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Ria Formosa Natural Park. Holes 10, 14, and 17 each bring water hazards into play. Rated 4.6 by 300+ Hole19 golfers, it is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Algarve. Practice facilities are shared with the resort and include a 300-metre driving range with 70 grass hitting bays and five covered bays, two large putting greens, seven short-game teaching areas, and a 9-hole pitch-and-putt academy course with instruction from professional Mickael Carvalho. A Performance Center with Golf Simulator Powered by Foresight is also available. The Pro Golf Shop stocks equipment and apparel from Callaway, Titleist, Ecco, J Lindeberg, and others. The Ria Terrace Restaurant, led by Chef Humberto Paulos, serves Portuguese dishes made with locally sourced ingredients alongside burgers, salads, pizzas, and desserts in a newly renovated space with an outdoor terrace.
