Description
English Turn Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 private course in New Orleans, Louisiana, designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1988. The layout moves through lagoons, meandering waterways, and sweeping fairways framed by oaks, sculpted mounds, and artful bunkering. Hole 15 plays to an island green, and hole 18 has been ranked the hardest hole on tour. The club hosted the USF and G Classic in 1989 and the New Orleans PGA Tour event from 1989 to 2004 and again in 2006. It is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Louisiana. Practice facilities include a driving range, chipping and putting areas, and PGA staff available for lessons. The Plantation Style Clubhouse houses a restaurant with a monthly revolving menu of global cuisines, a Grill serving contemporary American cuisine with New Orleans flair, and an Upstairs Dining Room with weekly-changing Friday Night Dinner menus. The bar closes daily at 7 PM. Additional amenities include a fitness center, six lighted Rubico tennis courts, a Junior Olympic lap pool, and locker rentals for men and women.
