Yamejoyo Golf Club

Yamejoyo Golf Club is an 18-hole hillside course in Yame, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, where elevation changes across the property are handled by riding carts, leaving the individual holes themselves relatively gentle in gradient. The par-4s are where the course tests you most. The majority play long, making greens in regulation difficult to hit, so arriving prepared to scramble — getting up and down in one — is essential to keeping your card respectable. Limiting damage on these holes is the key to a good round. Relief comes on the par-3s and par-5s. Most of the short holes, with the exception of the 12th, are reachable in regulation, offering a real chance to secure pars. The par-5s present similar opportunities. Building a score here means converting those birdie and par chances on the longer and shorter holes to offset the grind of the demanding par-4s.
