Chikugogawa Riverside Sports Center - Mamezu Golf is an 18-hole riverside course laid out along the banks of the Chikugo River in Miyaki, Saga Prefecture, Japan. It is a long-established layout where many local golfers first learned the game. The routing follows the river in two distinct stretches: holes 1 through 3 run downstream along the right embankment, then holes 4 onward reverse direction, playing back with the Chikugo River on the right. Every hole is flat, and only two small bunkers feature on the entire course. Despite the open feel, big hitters do not have a clear advantage. All holes carry a penalty area left and out-of-bounds right, and the fairways are relatively narrow, so accuracy matters more than distance. The river wind adds an extra challenge — it can shift direction in an instant, demanding constant attention to club selection.
