Woodway Country Club

Woodway Country Club, a private 18-hole course in Darien, Connecticut, was designed by Willie Park Jr. and opened in 1918. The layout moves across rolling terrain shaped by a central hill and ridge line, with the Noroton River in play and undulating tabletop-style greens that place a premium on approach precision. The club has hosted the Connecticut Open Championship four times — in 1964, 1983, 1995, and 2016 — and is regularly ranked as one of the best courses in the state by Golf Digest. It also holds designation as a National Audubon Society bird sanctuary. Instruction is available through group clinics, individual lessons, and a junior program. The pro shop carries golf equipment, apparel, shoes, and gifts. A caddie program is in place. After the round, the 19th Hole grill is on site.
