Wee Burn Country Club

Wee Burn Country Club is a historic private club in Darien, Connecticut, founded in 1896 and among the oldest of its kind in the state. Its name — Scottish for "small stream" — was given by industrialist Andrew Carnegie, and the club stands as a founding member of the Connecticut State Golf Association. The 18-hole championship course was designed by noted architect Devereux Emmet. Practice facilities include a three-hole short-game area and an expanded driving range. Beyond golf, the club offers a Mediterranean-styled clubhouse, a private beach club on Long Island Sound, thirteen Har-Tru tennis courts, eight platform tennis courts, four ten-pin bowling lanes, and trap, skeet, and five-stand shooting. Dining and banquet facilities are available at both the main club and beach club locations. Wee Burn is open year round.
