The course plays across rolling terrain that incorporates the site's original farm buildings, giving it a character distinct from typical municipal tracks. It has been ranked the number-one public golf course in Fairfield County year after year. The practice setup is substantial: a 44-bay, double-tier, covered and heated driving range runs seven days a week, 365 days a year, day and night. Certified PGA instructors are on site for lessons, and a Golf Shop handles equipment and fittings.
