Woodward golf course is one hundred years old this year 2016.It has been modified several times over the years.big tall pines and hardwoods line most of the fairways.Woodward has Bermuda fairways and greens,a short course with beautiful fairways and greens,most greens are on the small side.summer time produces thick Bermuda rough ,being in the fairway is a premium! a short but very challenging course!five lakes dot the course with water coming into play 6 holes. numerous fairway and green side bunkers will test . your skills.woodward is a great examples that a course doesn't have to play super long to be a test of your golfing skills.a semi public course at very reasonable fees two blocks off I59/20 between Birmingham and Bessemer, alabama.if you are in the area give it a try !!
