Westerhope Golf Club

Westerhope Golf Club is a semi-private parkland course in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, open to visitors and designed by Sandy Herd, who opened the layout in 1941. The 18-hole, par-72 course is rated 4.4 by 60+ Hole19 golfers. Hole 11 is singled out as the best hole on the course. Practice facilities include a grass driving range with distances up to 300 yards, a grass and mat hitting area, a putting green and short game area, and three practice nets. A Ladies Get Into Golf Programme offers group coaching sessions. The Professional Shop is well stocked with helpful staff. The clubhouse bar and catering team provide drinks and food including Sunday lunches. The clubhouse, including bar, dining room and function room, is available to hire for private events.
