Newcastle United Golf Club

Rated 4.1 by 100+ Hole19 golfers, Newcastle United Golf Club is a semi-private moorland course in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, that opened in 1973 and plays to par 72 from 6,600 yards off the back tees. The layout runs across moorland terrain with tall rough, long par fours and fives, and undulating greens. The opening hole, Doon The Dip, requires a blind second shot to a green guarded by two front bunkers. The par-3 seventh, West Wind, plays 159 yards to a green flanked by rough on both sides. Hole 14, The Chip In, brings a small water hazard into play just short of the green. The course has hosted Northumberland County Golf Union events and the Northumberland County Championships. A dedicated putting green is available for pre-round practice. The clubhouse includes a bar and lounge with Sky Sports on big screens, a dining room overlooking the putting green, a snooker table, men's and women's locker rooms, and an extensive car park.
