Tosa Yamada Golf Club

Tosa Yamada Golf Club is an 18-hole hillside course in Kami, Kochi Prefecture, Japan, offering two distinct playing experiences across its front and back nines. The front nine draws on traditional Japanese garden aesthetics, with native flowering trees and shrubs that bloom through the seasons, creating a calm, ornamental atmosphere. The back nine shifts character entirely, taking on a links-style feel with a more open, windswept layout. Water hazards are woven throughout — four on the front nine and seven on the back — adding strategic challenge to an already lengthy layout. Both nines are relatively flat, making the course accessible to a wide range of golfers while still presenting a genuinely tough test thanks to the distance and water in play.
