Pacific Golf Club

Pacific Golf Club is an 18-hole hillside layout in Nankoku, Kochi Prefecture, Japan, where the terrain stays relatively playable despite its rolling character — steep uphill holes are few, and the overall elevation changes are moderate. The course plays long, with narrow fairways throughout that reward a conservative, layered approach over aggressive shot-making. Phoenix palms and pine trees line and separate the holes, giving the layout a distinctly southern Japanese feel. Several holes stand out. The par-4 6th on the front nine plays harder than its yardage suggests. The 9th demands a precise second shot, with out-of-bounds left and right on a downhill approach. On the back nine, the 10th is a downhill par-5 running all the way to the green, while the 16th punishes short tee shots with a blind second. The 18th is the signature hole, offering genuine strategic interest to close the round.
