Description
Southport Golf Links is an 18-hole course in Southport, England, with roots going back to 1912, when it first opened as a 9-hole layout on reclaimed land bordering the Irish Sea. During the 1930s, further land reclamation allowed the course to be extended to its current 18 holes. The redesign was the work of Harry Shapland Colt, one of the leading golf course architects of his generation. Callum SeftonJuly 17, 2025Grass is very patchy and full of weeds on fairways, greens generally ok but hole 6 big patches of no grass on green. Not very exciting holes

Good course layout, condition could be significantly better. 17th green dead, 4 other greens covered in worm casts so hard to put. Staff in pro shop miserable and not very friendly, was too busy stood around smoking a fag to be nice to anyone. Green fee reasonable value, but other courses further out locally offer significantly better quality of course for no more than £5 to £10 dearer
