Scotscraig Golf Club

Scotscraig Golf Club has hosted Open Qualifying on six occasions, placing it among a select group of Scottish links courses with that record. The Gold Medal, first played here in 1818, adds over two centuries of competitive history to the club's identity. The 18-hole links layout in Tayport, Scotland sits on terrain shaped by heathland, gorse, burns, pot bunkers, and out-of-bounds runs. Hole 4, Westward Ho, is a dogleg right par 4 finishing at a raised knoll green. The course was shaped over successive eras by Davie Robertson, Old Tom Morris, and James Braid, and opened in 1817. The Pro Shop is open Monday to Friday 7am–7pm and Saturday to Sunday 6.30am–7pm. The restaurant runs 8am–8pm and covers pre-golf bacon rolls, family lunch, coffee, and private dining in the Playfair Trophy Room, which also holds the Gold Medal and more than 200 years of golfing memorabilia. The Wee Bar is currently closed for refurbishment. Scotscraig is semi-private.
