Rated among the top five courses in Alabama by Golf Digest, Saugahatchee Country Club in Opelika, Alabama draws consistent praise from Hole19 golfers. Designed by Ward Northrup and opened in 1946, this private 18-hole layout plays to par 72 and stretches to 7,040 yards. The course incorporates downhill terrain, a creek, lakes, fairway and greenside bunkers, out-of-bounds lines, and tiered and sloped greens. Hole 7, a par 3, offers a scoring opportunity framed by greenside bunkers. The 19th Hole restaurant is a casual space with traditional pub décor, a specialty menu, and seating for up to 56. The clubhouse also includes a Main Dining Room with floor-to-ceiling windows seating 70, the Dogwood Room extension seating 32, and a 2,700-square-foot ballroom with audio/visual equipment.
