Newton Commonwealth Golf Course is a public 18-hole layout in Newton, Massachusetts, just minutes from downtown Boston. The club celebrated its centennial in 1997 and was redesigned in 1920 by renowned architect Donald Ross. The course plays short but demands careful management. Fairways are relatively narrow, greens run quick, and water hazards along with sand bunkers appear frequently enough to punish aggressive play — a lesson many big hitters have learned here. Rated 4.1 by Hole19 golfers, it is one of the most-played courses in Massachusetts on Hole19.
