Newbattle Golf Club

Newbattle Golf Club, designed by Harry S. Colt and opened in 1934, sits in Dalkeith, Scotland, on a parkland layout that runs from a central ridge down to the River Esk and back up to higher ground on the opposite bank. The course is enclosed on every side by woods, with tree-lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and well-protected greens across 18 holes at par 69 from 5,912 yards. Hole 17 is a standout: the tee shot is played from a secluded elevated tee over the river to the fairway below, with the second shot approaching a plateau green flanked by mature trees. The course is semi-private and a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Scotland. The clubhouse includes a well-stocked bar with extensive snack and meal menus, a well-stocked professional shop, changing facilities for visiting golfers, a private dining room, and a function hall for up to 100.
