Description
Mt Whitney Golf Club sits in Lone Pine, California, between the Sierra Nevada and Inyo Mountains, at a 9-hole, par-36 layout designed by Bob Baldock and opened in 1959. An irrigation pond is part of the course terrain. The club is semi-private and runs a full calendar of member events, including a St. Patrick's Day Shotgun, an Easter Sunday Brunch and Afternoon Golf Tournament, a Masters Sunday 18-hole par-3 setup, a Member/Guest Invitational, and a Daylight Savings Ends Tournament, among others. A putting green with 10 small Bentgrass greens is available for warm-up. The clubhouse is housed in a relocated old Catholic church building from Keeler.
