Mardyke Valley Golf Club

Mardyke Valley Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-70 parkland course in South Ockendon, England, playing to 6,201 yards. The layout follows the valley contours of the River Mardyke, with mixed specimen trees, streams and lakes, grassy hollows, and grassy banks shaping play throughout the round. Hole 17, known as Watery Grave, is the course's signature challenge. Rated 4.2 by Hole19 golfers, it is one of the most-played courses in England on Hole19. Semi-private access means the course is open to visitors. Practice facilities include a real ball driving range, a putting green in front of the clubhouse, and lessons with Matt Reid, a PGA qualified professional covering woods, irons, putting, short game, and bunker shots. The clubhouse restaurant offers a 270-degree view of the course, home cooked food, Afternoon Teas, and a Sunday Carvery. The bar area has been newly refurbished and holds a full licence. The Pro Shop stocks Bridgestone, Titleist, Srixon, Callaway, Under Armour, and Motocaddy, along with used equipment at reduced prices.
