Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Club occupies over 160 acres of parkland in the Lune Valley, delivering a mature 18-hole layout that has been shaped by 25 years of careful development. Rated 4.6 by Hole19 golfers, the course plays to 6,542 yards from the competition tees (Par 72, SS 72), with daily tees at 6,244 yards (Par 72, SS 70) and a ladies' course of 5,737 yards (Par 73, SS 73). The layout runs as two anti-clockwise nine-hole loops. The front nine crosses Barbon Beck and works down toward the River Lune before returning to the clubhouse. The back nine heads north up the valley, offering open views of the Howgill Fells and reaching its high point at the 15th green. The closing three holes turn back into the prevailing south-westerly breeze, with the signature 17th — a 157-yard par three across Barbon Beck — providing a memorable finish. Each half shares the same par distribution: two par threes, five par fours, and two par fives. The greenkeeping team maintains true putting surfaces and consistent fairways throughout the year.
