Kapalua Golf Resort (Bay) is an 18-hole championship course in Kapalua, Hawaii, that has hosted over 20 major professional tournaments — more than any other neighbor island course in the state. Opened in 1975, the Bay Course has a rich competitive history. It staged the first live prime-time televised golf event in 1983 and later welcomed the Kapalua LPGA Classic. Champions who have won here include Greg Norman, Ian Woosnam, David Llewellyn, Morgan Pressel, Fred Couples, and Davis Love III — the latter two each winning twice. The course is as challenging as it is scenic. Its signature 5th hole plays over the ocean and stands as the only such hole on Maui, making it a highlight for any visiting golfer. Rated 4.7 by Hole19 golfers, it is a must-play for anyone teeing it up on the island.
