Jimmie Austin Golf Club

Jimmie Austin Golf Club has hosted the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship (2009), the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship (2013), and multiple NCAA Regional Championships — a tournament record that reflects the course's standing in Oklahoma golf. Designed by Perry Maxwell and opened in 1951, the 18-hole layout in Norman, Oklahoma stretches from 5,326 to 7,452 yards across rolling hills threaded with native grasses, Bur Oaks, Bishop Creek, and the South Canadian River. The opening hole, a 482-yard par 4 from the Championship Tee, plays directly into the predominant south wind. Hole 7 is a par 4 with a Champion Bur Oak standing on the right side of the fairway. The course is semi-private. The Heatly House comfort station, reachable after holes 4 and 14, serves sandwiches, milkshakes, and beverages on the course. The pro shop carries custom apparel and golf-specific products. The restaurant nOSH oN THE gREEN serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner — including lunch specials and happy hour on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 4–6 pm — and is open to the public.
