This golf club was recently purchased by a new owner and already, major remodeling and repairs have been scheduled. Overall however, the course is in 6-7/10 shape, as well as the greens. The putting green and the chipping practice area is also large and very well maintained. There's a full 18 hole course as well as a smaller 5 hole practice course. Prices are excellent for the area, including regular green fees as well as yearly memberships. There are plenty of tournaments, men's and women's groups, and occasional fun games. The clubhouse has a small pro-shop and the restaurant is also not bad. Service is pretty quick and pricing (again) is pretty good. There's storage for purchase if you want to leave your clubs there permanently as well as changing rooms and daily lockers. Pace of play is no problem during the week and average on nice weekends. The membership is large but predominantly older and something like 98% of players walk the course. Most players only play the front 9 which almost always leaves the longer back 9 completely open. The only restrictions are that on weekends you have to start on hole 1 and have to play in either a 3 or 4 man flight. Overall, as stated, the course is in relatively good shape and pretty standard for this part of Germany. The course is mostly flat and generally pretty wide, translating into an excellent course to learn or train on. This is no Augusta national. However, as a member for 2 years, and planning on continuing for a 3rd, I would easily recommend this course to locals interested in golf or visitors looking for a quick, but fun round. I've only knocked off 2 stars because this course is average overall and I wouldn't say it knocks my socks off. I've also played at other courses around here that were in slightly better shape (admittedly though, more expensive). Worth at least a round in my opinion... And we'll see what happens now with the new ownership. I'm excited to see what new changes come!
