Golfklúbbur Reykjavíkur - Korpúlfsstaðir (Korpa) is an 18-hole course in Reykjavík that has quickly earned a reputation as one of Iceland's finest since opening in 1997. It sits on land that once served as the largest cattle farm in Scandinavia during the early 1930s. The two nines offer distinctly different challenges. The front nine runs along the Atlantic coastline, delivering a genuine links test with views of Mount Esja. The back nine turns inland, where the par-4 12th and par-5 15th are both played alongside the river Korpa and present a stern examination. Designed by Iceland's leading golf course architect, Hannes Thorsteinsson, the course measures 6,600 yards (6,035 m) from the back tees and plays to a par of 72. It is a meaningful challenge for golfers of all handicap levels.
