Description
Golf Santo António sits in a valley near Budens in the Algarve, close to the Costa Vicentina Nature Reserve and within reach of the historic towns of Lagos and Sagres. The 18-hole layout runs through hills behind the fishing village of Salema, with undulating fairways — particularly on the front nine — shaped by the natural contours of the terrain. Designed by Pepe Gancedo, one of Spain's most respected course architects, the layout follows a philosophy of minimal alteration to the existing land. The back nine introduces several lakes alongside small, well-bunkered greens, demanding accuracy on approach shots. The course has hosted the Europro Tour and is rated 4.4 by Hole19 golfers.
