Description
Espiche Golf is an 18-hole, par-72 layout in the Algarve, Portugal, designed by Peter Sauerman and opened in 2014. Playing between 5,890 and 6,441 yards, the course moves through terrain shaped by lakes, streams, native vegetation, and elevation changes, with vineyards nearby and views toward the Monchique mountains. Undulating greens add further variety across the round. Practice facilities include a driving range for up to 29 players on natural grass and artificial mats, a 400 m² putting green, and an 800 m² chipping area. PGA-qualified professionals offer lessons supported by Trackman swing analysis, with custom club fitting available through Callaway and Ping. The clubhouse, designed by architect Nadine Berger and inaugurated in 2014, placed third in the Worldwide Clubhouse of the Year 2015. The Gecko Restaurant, led by Chef Elisabete Oliveira, serves fresh, seasonal dishes inspired by local and Mediterranean flavours, overlooking the course with 360-degree views. Dominic OrdJuly 27, 2026Fantastic course. Interesting, picturesque and perfectly maintained. I loved it as much as Ombria. Greens were exquisite, tee boxes good and level, staff were great. It had a fantastic club house and great driving range. Got to be good off the tee though. A thinkers course.

Frauke Dr. GehringMay 31, 2025Anspruchsvoller Kurs, der schon Ende Mai durch Wind sehr ausgetrocknet und darum schwer zu spielen war. Die deutlichen Steigungen und langen Wege zwischen den Bahnen sind ohne Cart ( schon gar nicht bei 33 Grad!) kaum zu bewältigen. Die Grüns sind gut gepflegt, aber recht langsam und onduliert. Insgesamt ist der Platz landschaftlich schön mit tollen Ausblicken. Das Clubhaus ein architektonisches Highlight. Essen gab es um 19 Uhr nicht mehr ( wir hatten Twilight gebucht, was deutlich preiswerter ist. Wer aber im 19.15 Uhr nicht zurück ist, wird vom Marshal abgeholt!).
