Elephant Rocks Golf Course

Elephant Rocks Golf Course is an 18-hole course in Williams, Arizona, with roots stretching back to the 1920s when the Williams Country Club was first formed. Railway workers and members built the historic clubhouse in 1932, and it remains largely unchanged today — a rare piece of golf history still standing on the high desert landscape. The course itself has a more varied story. It operated as a private members club until 1990, with much of the land leased from the US Forest Service, while the club held outright ownership of the land covering just three holes. That mix of public land and private ownership shaped the course's long history in the region. Today, Elephant Rocks Golf Course offers golfers in northern Arizona a full 18-hole round with a genuine sense of history behind every hole.
