Burnley Golf Club has hosted The Justin Rose Junior Open Medal, the Mid Week Open Single Stableford, and the Glen View Seniors Open 4 Man Team — a varied tournament calendar that reflects the club's active, community-rooted character. Designed by James Braid and opened in 1905, the 18-hole layout sits on open moorland in Burnley, England, with water courses and undulating ground running throughout. The club holds a Top 100 ranking among courses in Great Britain and Ireland for under £35, has been named The Friendliest Golf Club in England, and is an R&A Women in Golf Charter signatory. Two practice areas are available, one beside the clubhouse car park and a larger facility accessed via Woodplumpton Road, each with a practice bunker. The clubhouse has a bar and club rooms, and catering includes a Full English as well as bacon or sausage barms with tea or coffee.

Ian HopkinsOctober 04, 2023Early start so all the groundskeepers are about but all very friendly. First time playing what is a challenging course. No one there early and no score cards available. As a first timer to the course more direction signs would have been helpful, luckily other players helped send me the right way. All in all a great course and I will consider membership seriously.
