Description
Blue Heron Golf Course is an 18-hole layout in Queen Anne's County, Maryland, designed by Richard Mandell Golf Architecture on land that once held a nine-hole short course owned by the county. The redesign expanded onto a separate tract to the south, divided from the original site by Price Creek, an inlet and wetland that empties into the Chesapeake Bay. Mandell worked within roughly 75 acres, a total elevation change of just 13 feet, and the constraints of the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area — conditions that shaped a course defined by its flat, coastal character rather than dramatic topography.
