Abiding Golf Club Society

Abiding Golf Club Society is an 18-hole hillside course in Chonan, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, designed to challenge and reward in equal measure. The layout makes full use of natural scenery and mature trees, with an orthodox design that avoids dramatic elevation changes yet never lets up on demand. Fairways are tightly routed and roll with a wave-like undulation, while the bentgrass single greens sit up like islands, adding a constant, pleasing tension to every approach. Strategy and technique are both required here — what you do with the ball shows up directly on the scorecard. Holes 2 and 14 offer genuine two-on opportunities but carry real risk, while holes 9 and 18 bring water hazards into play to sharpen the finish.
