Great Island Club

Great Island Club is an 18-hole hillside course in Chonan, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, designed with wide, flat fairways to suit a broad membership. Multiple tee options at significantly different angles and distances mean golfers of all levels can tailor the challenge to their game. Several holes stand out along the way. A creek crosses the fairway on the 3rd, the 8th green features pronounced undulation, and the 14th uses a strategic bunker arrangement to test course management. The final three holes, however, present the stiffest test. The 16th plays to an elevated plateau green with bunkers covering the entire approach, making distance control critical and putting real pressure on longer hitters.
