Chonan Public Course

Chonan Public Course is a 36-hole layout in Chonan, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, designed with beginners in mind without sacrificing interest for more experienced players. Fairways are generously wide throughout, and the areas around the greens are kept straightforward in shape. On all but three holes, golfers can see the green directly from the tee, and bunkers are relatively scarce — giving the round an open, free-swinging feel. Par fives offer good scoring opportunities, and the key challenge on most holes is how well you manage the par fours. The back nine shifts in character, with trickier holes that reward careful tee shots. Keeping the driver under control on those stretches makes a real difference to your scorecard.
