Yoneyamasuigen Country Club

Yoneyamasuigen Country Club is an 18-hole parkland course set in the hills of Joetsu, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Despite its proximity to the Sea of Japan, the layout plays more like a lakeside course than a seaside one — a large pond called Asahi-ike and 13 further water hazards define much of its character. Each hole is separated by broad pine forests, and while the fairways are generous, gentle undulations keep approach play demanding. The water-carry holes over Asahi-ike are among the most visually striking on the course. Accuracy matters more than raw distance here. The final two holes of the back nine — the 17th and 18th — deserve particular attention and careful course management.
