Woodmont Country Club (North)

Woodmont Country Club (North) is a private 18-hole course in Rockville, Maryland, designed by Alfred Tull and opened in 1950. The layout has a strong tournament record. It hosted the 120th U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, has served as a Final Qualifying site for the U.S. Open since 1987, hosted U.S. Women's Open Final Qualifying on several occasions, and is scheduled for the 2025 and 2026 U.S. Adaptive Opens and the 2028 U.S. Junior Amateur. Several holes stand out. The par-3 second plays long with a tricky green flanked by two bunkers. The sixth is a Redan-style hole with a two-tiered green that cants right to left. The seventh is a dogleg-right par 4 with a small green and one of the toughest tee shots on the course. Practice options include the Sidney Harman short game practice facility. The club also has indoor practice areas, an indoor Tennis Center, and a top-notch Golf Shop.
