Lakewood Country Club

Lakewood Country Club is a private 18-hole course in Rockville, Maryland, designed by Rees Jones and opened in 1959. It stretches to 7,119 yards at par 72, set across gently rolling hills with majestic hardwoods, lakes, and a meandering stream running through the layout. Several holes stand out. Hole 3 is a three-shot par 5 with a tee view, a bunker left, and a two-tiered green. Hole 7 opens a six-hole stretch with a long par 4 and creek hazard. Hole 11 plays as the toughest on the course, with a severe back-to-front slope. Hole 17, the shortest par 3, plays downhill and produces the most aces on the course. The club ranks 6th among private courses in Maryland and 4th in the greater D.C. area. A practice facility and short game area are available. The clubhouse includes casual and elegant dining areas along with men's and women's locker rooms.
