Waveland Golf Course

Rated one of the most-played courses in Iowa on Hole19, Waveland Golf Course in Des Moines, Iowa is a municipal layout that has been drawing golfers since 1901. Designed by Warren Dickson, the 18-hole course plays between 5,116 and 6,544 yards across rolling wooded hillsides with significant slopes, rolling fairways, and tight lies. Waveland has a long tournament history, having hosted the George Turner Memorial, Men's City Championship, The Shydo Cup, The Chili Open, National Public Links qualifiers, and State High School Championships. Youth programs are available through a partnership with Jester Park, including PGA Junior League, In-House League Practice, Camps, and Clinics. The historic clubhouse features a stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and rustic wood accents, with capacity for up to 100.
