Washington Club Golf Course

Washington Club Golf Course in Washington, Connecticut, is among the oldest golf clubs in the United States, with roots stretching back to 1889 when it was founded as the Washington Field Club. The club evolved over the decades, becoming the Washington Golf Club in 1897 before merging in 1914 with the Washington Club, which had been established eleven years prior. The course itself is a nine-hole layout. Golfers play 18 holes by completing two rounds of the nine, with a par of 71 or 72 depending on the tee selection — giving the round a different character on the second pass.
