Description
Walnut Creek Country Club is a private 27-hole course in Lyon Charter Township, Michigan, designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 1995. The layout plays across well-manicured fairways with wetland hazards in play, spread across three nines ranging from 2,539 to 3,439 yards each. Practice options are extensive. A natural grass driving range with over twenty hitting bays, a dedicated putting green, and a 2.5-acre short game area with a target green and bunker green are all available exclusively to members. PGA golf professionals offer both private and group lessons. The pro shop is fully stocked year-round with men's, women's, and junior apparel and equipment. Members also have access to men's and women's locker rooms with attendants, and a snack bar with seating at the halfway house. The course has hosted the Michigan PGA Championship (1961), the Michigan Open (1961), and the Michigan Open (1962).
