Tanglewood Golf Club, a public 27-hole course in Lyon Charter Township, Michigan, was designed by William Newcomb and rated 4.7 by 50+ Hole19 golfers, making it one of the most-played courses in Michigan on Hole19. The course won Best Golf Course in Metro Detroit in both 2009 and 2010 in Channel 4 WDIV's 4 The Best contest. Practice options include a privately owned driving range with balls available for purchase, a large putting green near the pro shop that can also be used for chipping, and lessons for players of all ages through private sessions and group clinics. The pro shop handles registration and tee time bookings. The Tanglewood Golf Grille serves sandwiches, salads, pizza, and appetizers with daily lunch and dinner specials and a full bar. In summer, outdoor patio seating overlooks a gazebo on the pond.
