Valle Arriba Golf Club

Valle Arriba Golf Club is an 18-hole course set in the heart of Caracas, shielded from the surrounding streets and buildings by bamboo groves and century-old trees. Founded in 1942 on the grounds of a former sugarcane hacienda — then on the city's outskirts — the course was designed by John R. Van Kleeck and completed in 1945. It plays to a par 70 over 6,291 yards, with four par 3s, twelve par 4s, and two par 5s. Fairways are laid with Bermuda 419 grass and greens with Bermuda 328. The layout is relatively short and narrow, featuring plenty of undulation, multiple doglegs, and small, flat greens. Landscaping and turf have been updated over the decades, but the course retains the character of its original design.
