Ube 72 Country Club Ajisu opened in 1960 as the first course of its club in Yamaguchi, Japan, designed by renowned architect Osamu Ueda. The 36-hole layout was developed from the outset around a guiding principle: preserve the natural plant ecosystem as much as possible, keeping tree clearing to a minimum. More than half a century on, that commitment still shows. The forest retains a rich, natural beauty, and the course carries the character of a mature woodland layout steeped in history and tradition.
