Description
Tyrifjord Golfklubb is an 18-hole semi-private forest and parkland course in Buskerud, Norway, designed by Jan Sederholm and Tor Eia and opened in 1996. The layout makes consistent use of the Holsfjorden shoreline. Hole 5 is a par-5 that plays down toward the fjord, finishing with a short carry over a bay to a peninsula green, with views south toward Holsfjorden and Sylling. Hole 7 has a thousand-year-old hollow oak on the left side of the fairway. Hole 15 was rebuilt in 2003 to bring play closer to the water, and hole 16 runs along the fjord to a green on a peninsula. Practice facilities include a driving range open 06:00–22:00, practice greens, and PGA Pro instruction. The clubhouse in Hønefoss has a cafeteria with reasonably priced food, Avika Restaurant (dinner included in course events), and a pro shop stocking clubs, clothing, and equipment. The course is rated 4.5 by 50+ Hole19 golfers.
