Nordhaug Golfklubb

Nordhaug Golfklubb is an 18-hole course in Akershus, Norway, built on land with a documented history stretching back to the Iron Age. The farm that owns the grounds has been in continuous agricultural use since the 1830s and is home to one of the largest farm buildings in Norway. The course was designed alongside the neighbouring Haga Golfbane from 2000 and opened in 2002. It borders one of Haga's loops and the forest leading into Bærumsmarka. The clubhouse and golf centre were completed in 2006, on a site that previously housed a large riding hall, and the club itself was founded in 2010. A small river runs through the open section of the course, and the surrounding area is a protected biotope recognised as one of the highest concentrations of bird species in Norway. Part of a former riverbed, filled in around the 1960s, now forms sections of the driving range and practice areas.
