Description
Thirlstane Golf Club sits 18km east of Devonport on Squeaking Point Road, in the lush farming district of Thirlstane on Tasmania's Central North Coast, about 7km from Port Sorell. Natural bushland surrounds the course on all sides. Designed in 1980 by Australian amateur great Peter Toogood, the 18-hole layout features flat fairways with alternate tee beds on four holes. The standout hole is a 144-metre par-3 whose green sits between two lakes, while the 6th tee adds further drama to what is widely regarded as a picturesque and well-maintained course.
