The Shattuck Golf Club

The Shattuck Golf Club is an 18-hole course carved from the granite foothills of Mt. Monadnock in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. Course architect Brian Silva has called it "the most spectacular setting I've ever come across," and the layout lives up to that billing. Each hole is framed by forests of oak, birch, and pine, shielding it from neighboring holes so the round feels private throughout. Natural wetlands weave across the property, serving both as hazards and habitat for mink, fox, deer, moose, beaver, otter, and great blue heron. Par is 72, with yardages ranging from 4,632 to 6,764 — a length that suits a wide range of players. Multiple tee pads on every hole add further accessibility, and a dedicated set of beginner markers makes the course a genuine option for those just starting out.
