Designed by Portland native and former PGA Tour pro John Fought — whose credits include four Top 100 courses — this par 72 layout stretches from 5,189 to 7,172 yards across naturally rolling terrain framed by mature Oregon trees and 114 white sand bunkers. The South Course blends strategy and deception with genuine aesthetic appeal. Its credentials include hosting both The Fred Meyer Challenge and the JELD-WEN Tradition, making it a legitimate test for accomplished players. Two holes stand out in particular. The 605-yard par 5 6th demands careful navigation of 16 fairway and greenside bunkers spread across the hole. The 473-yard par 4 17th features water guarding the left side and a distinctive double green shared with the 11th, with a pot bunker dividing the two putting surfaces.
