The Meadows Golf & Country Club

The Meadows Golf & Country Club is one of the oldest continuously operating courses in Virginia's New River Valley, with an 18-hole layout designed by Ray Vaughn, Sr. and opened in 1955. The front nine came first, with the back nine added in 1975, and the two nines differ noticeably — the front features larger greens, while the full course plays through rolling, tree-lined terrain with elevation changes that can add 50–70 yards per hole. Water comes into play on 15 holes, and the greens vary in size, speed, and undulation. Multiple tee options stretch the course from 4,500 yards to nearly 6,000 yards, making it accessible across handicap ranges. Mountain views are present throughout the round. As a semi-private facility, The Meadows offers a practice range, heated swimming pool, fully stocked pro shop, and food and beverage service on site.
