The Links at Montague

A popular round among Hole19 golfers in Nova Scotia, The Links at Montague is a 9-hole public executive course in Loon Lake, Canada, designed by Graham Cooke and opened in 2001. The layout spans 1,880 yards across hardwood stands, historic farm fields, and orchards, with bentgrass fairways and greens, Kentucky bluegrass roughs, marshland, wetlands, and bunkers throughout the routing. Three holes stand out on the card. Hole 2 plays to a green virtually an island bordered by marshland and water. Hole 4 opens to a panoramic view of Loon Lake, home to resident loons and Bald Eagles. Hole 7 is a par 4 with a boardwalk through wetlands. The course holds Royal Canadian Golf Association accredited Five Star Future Links facility status. Practice facilities include a driving range with 30 stations of mats and seven target greens, two large rolling putting greens with a sand bunker, and a pitch-and-putt area. The pro shop is cashless. The kitchen serves house-made sandwiches, burgers, daily features, baked goods, and quick snacks, and is open daily to the public; catering is available for tournaments and events.
